SUPER OS

Yes we love the free operating system which sounds quiet funny but has taken over all the distros of Linux in the recent years yes im talking about UBUNTU. This free open source OS is very interesting project by the open source community and is a very successful venture. It is the very best of the available Linux Distros.But the one thing that bugs most of us is that the operating system is devoid of the basic required to run various media files and other things etc and we have to download the codecs one by one[This is due to the Ubuntu licensing thingy :) ] which can be quiet frustrating and the non availability of INTERNET can make this very complicated.

In comes the solution the Super OS. No its not a derivative of the Ubuntu that mutates into a completely different form but its the same familiar ubuntu with all the codec pre installed and the comes preinstalled with the essential set of softwares like the handy VLC, three of the popular web browsers and video editing softwares etc. In the end its a complete package.

TECHNICAL SPECS

Super OS (formerly: Super Ubuntu) is just a modified version of Ubuntu 10.10 (see: Super OS and Ubuntu) with the goal of making it more usable.

• NEW: usb-creator, Live USB creator right from the DVD menu (replacing cd2usb)

• Additional Multimedia Support: VLC, support for DVD-playback, MP3 support and for other formats, like QuickTime video, Real video, Windows Media Video, Flash Video, DivX, Xvid, (.mov, .wmv, .flv, .avi, etc...) etc...
